Two years ago, “The Balloonist,” the film I wrote for Elbe Steven Films, was filmed in collaboration with Disney+. Nothing happened for a long time after that, or at least it seemed that way. But now, finally, the film is here. Hooray! It’s unfortunately not in theatres, but it can be streamed starting October 3rd on Disney+.<\/p>\n

The director is Tim Oliehoek. He made a huge impression on me with the wonderful series “Hendrik Groen,” which he directed.<\/p>\n

The cast is fantastic: Sallie Harmsen, Pieter Embrechts, Frieda Pittoors, Ren\u00e9 Groothof, Nazanin Taheri, Leon Ali Cifteti, Jack Wouterse, Thomas H\u00f6ppener, Conny Wilhemus, Esther Schildwacht, and Felix Jan Kuypers. It also marks the debut of the youngest cast member, Beau Minnaert, who plays Kuif. And last but not least, I can’t forget to highlight Bouillon, or rather, the rooster who plays Bouillon.<\/p>\n
